About Pickled Beats
Emphasizing tight rhythm grooves, hot solos, instrumental variety, and strong vocals, PICKLED BEATS has gained an enthusiastic following within a relatively short period of time. PICKLED BEATS is a group of five multi-talented musicians dedicated to playing progressive music and having a good time doing it! The band's playlist is a tasty mix of rock, jazz fusion, funk, rhythm and blues, with a little Carribbean-influenced reggae and ska. The cover material is not the typical repertoire, yet is impacting and crowd-pleasing, featuring selections by Steely Dan, War, ZZ Top, Pink Floyd, Squeeze, The Bad Examples, The Doors, Little Feat, Jeff Beck, The Grateful Dead, Marvin Gaye, Dave Matthews, Jethro Tull and others. They also feature a number of original songs which have become requested favorites with their growing audience. Each member of the band has been in the music business for many years, amassing an impressive amount of stage and recording experience. All five BEATS sing and three are featured as lead vocalists. The incessant groove and enthusiastic performances keeps the audience wanting more!
