Andrew Szymanski

Andrew Szymanski, drummer for Pickled Beats, comes from classical training as an oboist...go figure. He is currently a junior high school band director by day and a rock drummer by night. Besides the afore mentioned instruments, he also plays keyboards, bass guitar, saxophone, clarinet, most band instruments, banjo and is currently following his ethnic heritage by learning the accordion, soon to be the new polka king of Villa Park!

He played for several years with various rock bands in Chicago before going off to college and then finding his musical-self with Gar and the boys. He also spent a few years as a bassist in an oldies band, as well as drummer for several small jazz ensembles.

Andrew's ultra-smooth rhythms, great meter, versatility and percussive creativity creates the groove that defines the Pickled Beats.
